Saturday’s Big Event

Yvonne and I wanted you, our friends near and far, to know that in just under 24 hours we have a big event – and we are excited that people from two churches (St. Andrew’s in Kimberley & The Dwelling Place in Cranbrook) will work together to promote in our communities these two mission ministries: Wings as Eagles (local) & Barnabas Bridge (Romania). Kevin & Kyla Barg are the point people on this and have put incredible effort into the planning and promotion. This is an awareness and fundraising event to bring glory to the Lord and assist in sustaining the ongoing work of these two groups. Many people are being so encouraging and so generous. We are amazed.

We continue to be in contact daily with our partners and friends in Romania. We cannot assist all who ask for help, we cannot respond to all the church invitations to join them in person in ministry; over 8 visits in 4 years has given us many contacts – such wonderful people. Our time is limited and our funds are limited, but we are thrilled to do what we can.

Our main focus of course is the ministry here in Kimberley. The Holy Spirit is moving in our midst and the signs of God’s blessing can be seen in numerous areas of our church life. I cannot recall having such freedom in preaching Sunday mornings as I have these last two years (well, it is true those Pentecostals in Romania let me get pretty excited too). Yvonne has found some new ways to serve both in the church and in the community. We have some truly dear saints in our congregation!

Our family continues to grow and we pray for the safe arrival of grandchild #7 before Christmas – that will make 3 babies in 2014!

We hope that in 2015 we can do better at keeping you informed – and keeping the 3 website blogs listed below more current. There is lots to share but not always lots of time to share it!

Hope you are well. Thanks for your friendship, encouragement and support.
